Ukraine and the EU have agreed on mutual recognition of vaccination passports
Ukrainians will be able to move freely through the European Union, as Ukraine and the EU have reached a political agreement on mutual recognition of so-called vaccination passports

This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Facebook, summing up the week, reports Firtka with reference to "Word and Deed".

"The EU recently announced the introduction of digital certificates by the end of June, which will include vaccination data, tests for COVID-19 and acquired immunity after the disease. At the very beginning of the development of this initiative, I instructed the ministers together with the European Commission to develop a relevant certificate in Ukraine, "Shmygal said.

According to him, this week Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishina reached a political agreement with EU representatives on the possibility of mutual recognition of digital certificates in Brussels.

"Ukrainians should be able to move freely around the European Union, so I count on the productive work of ministers in this matter," he added.

It will be recalled that Olga Stefanishyna noted that the IT infrastructure in Ukraine is already fully ready for the issuance of certificates to Ukrainians vaccinated against coronavirus, so the document will be issued in July 2021.

By the way, almost 75,000 Ukrainians received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
